Slice products have significantly reduced cut injuries and are easy to grip, making them versatile for cutting various materials. The squeeze knives are convenient for staff, as they can be easily carried without the risk of cutting themselves or their clothes. The ordering process is quick, with outstanding customer service, reasonable delivery costs, and fast delivery times.
We have been using a number of Slice products at our foundry for many months now and almost completely replaced our cutting solutions (with a few exceptions). We have significantly reduced our cut injuries and the employees are reporting that they're easier to grip and work equally as quickly on cutting pallet-wrap, boxes, tape and other packaging, while not cutting anything they don't want to be cut through - especially themselves. The craft knives are great for smaller, more intricate items and its really clever that you can inter-change the blades so they're really versatile and much easier to grip than most other craft knives so we highly recommend these!
The squeeze knives have been good for business too as staff are able to put them in their pockets without the risk of cutting themselves or their clothes and don't lose them nearly as easily.
The ordering process is quick and easy and the customer service we have had from Connor and their glove supplier has been outstanding. Delivery costs are reasonable and also super fast!
The gloves we order have been chosen specifically for each department and the type of work being done, and reduced expenditure and wastage overall on the site. There has also been a massive improvement in safety and comfort - they are unanimously preferred over all the other gloves we have tried!
be working with Dalton Safety and hope to extend the range of PPE we get from then in the future!
This is my second slice the first one lasted 10 years with fairly regular use. It still works if not quite as efficiently, hence I bought a second. I still don’t quite know how it works but safe to say it does. It only cuts what you want it to cut. (Paper, polythene & the like. I’ve tried running it over my hand to no effect. Does not damage surface’s underneath what you’re cutting. I find it very useful for cutting polythene bags off magazines and such. Very good product. Can highly recommend it.
I use my slice tool in my art studio constantly. Not only does it open the many art supplies packages that I receive, but it also is invaluable for adding texture to my coloured pencil pet portraits. I’ve also rescued a portrait or two when I’ve lost the tooth of the paper with over zealous layering. Using the back of the blade, it’s possible to scratch back the pencil layers, allowing me to go back in with a lighter hand. This is far better than using a rubber, as this pushes the pigment deeper into the paper tooth.
In my opinion it’s an invaluable tool, and one that every coloured pencil artist should have in their supplies box!
I have both a box opener and a safe knife which have been in daily use for a couple of years and they're just as sharp and safe as the day I got them. Great kit :)
